The Urban Park Market has a New Vendor

A young farmer is taking his talents to the Urban Park Market.

Six-year-old Max Perello from Timmins was inspired by the weekly farmers market and wanted to join in the fun. Max says he created his own vendor booth called Perello Bro’s Healthy Vegetables where he is starting by selling swiss chard and zucchini.

Max says it took a while to build his booth because he had to wait for him produce to grow. He says now that his vegetables are growing, he is hoping keep his crops up.

He says he is also sing his booth to talk about healthy eating and living.

He says he is planning on coming back to the farmer’s market every Thursday with more food. Next week he will even be bringing three homemade lemonades called The Summerlicious Lemonade, Kiwi Brother and Lemonade Lemonade.

Downtown BIA Executive Director Noella Rinaldo says Max is the youngest farmer to sell produce at the market. Rinaldo says it’s great to see young people interested in growing and eating healthy foods.
