Man Injured in Cyclist Related Collision

You are being reminded to wear a helmet when you are riding your bike.

The Timmins Police Service says it responded to a cyclist related collision yesterday afternoon at the Theriault and Algonquin Boulevard intersection. Police say a 66-year-old man ran into a vehicle stopped at the red light. The man was taken to the hospital with some head injuries.

Police say this is why you need to wear a helmet and pay attention when you are on a bike. TPS says collisions like these are easily avoidable.

Officers say an investigation is still going on and anyone who may have witnessed this event is asked to call police.
