More than 700 people gathered to celebrate everything business tonight at the McIntyre Arena.
The Timmins Chamber of Commerce hosted its 16th business excellence awards tonight with the theme “Business Takes the Stage”. The chamber says the theme is supposed to make everyone feel like a rock star. This year had a record breaking 160 nominations for 15 awards.
Winner of the Non-Profit Organization Award Jennifer Vachon with the Anti-Hunger Coalition says it is an amazing feeling to be a finalist, let alone a winner.
Winners of the President’s Award Full Beard Brewing says the Timmins community is the best. Founder and Co-Owner Jonathan St-Pierre says with the micro brewery being under two years old, its an honour to even be nominated for one of the category awards, but to win the President’s Award is amazing.
Chamber President Jamie Clarke says all of the winners, finalists and business in Timmins help make the community a better place work, play and live.
