A local gymnastics centre is flipping the open sign and closing its doors.

Stella Nova Gymnastics Centre announced on Sunday that it is closing its doors as today. The not-for-profit has been offering classes since 2010 in the heart of Timmins. The board of directors says it made a very difficult decision due to the ongoing challenges of a not-for-profit organization.

The board thanked all the athletes, parents, coaches and volunteers for supporting the club in a release that was sent out on Facebook. Call to the club for a comment were not returned.

The club says a special meeting will be held on April 5th at 5:00pm to vote on a resolution of dissolution of the company and distribution of the club’s assets.
