The cold won’t stop some hikers this weekend.
The Mattagami Region Conservation Authority is hosting its 7th Annual Timmins Winter Hiking Day on Saturday. MRCA DSWP Project Lead Crystal Percival says everyone is invited to join a guided tour of some of the trails at Hersey Lake. Percival says there will be family activities, hot drinks and a presentation from the Timmins Fur Council.
She says this is a great way to see some of the winter beauty.
The event is free and will take place this Saturday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. There will be a shuttle leaving the main Gillies Lake parking lot 11:30am.
