An 18 year old girl has been charged with public mischief. The charges come after a false report that a man tried to lure her into his car. Police checked video footage of where she said it happened, and saw that it was false. She then recanted her statement. This was the third unsubstantiated report, the other two also withdrew their statements. The original suspicious persons report, which had a man offering a drive to a young girl, is still being investigated. Police want to speak to the driver, and anyone with information is being asked to call the Police. The girls name has not been released due to the sensitivity of the issue.
