Oncology patients at the Timmins and District Hospital are getting a Christmas spirit boost.
Grade seven and eight students at O’Gorman Intermediate School made cards for patients that will be staying in the hospital over the holidays. Grade eight student Emma Mills says her class made 40 cards for the department.
Grade eight student Ellie Yacula says it’s important to spread a little holiday cheer.
The class also hosted a bake sale and raised $475 for the department. Manager of the Oncology Department Lorna Green says all of the gifts are amazing.
Green says money will be put towards new equipment.
