Over $18-million in capital projects are in the talks for District School Board Ontario North East.
DSB One is currently going over its 2017-2018 plans to upgrade the schools. This will include LED signs installed at the front of every school, new PA systems and lock out blinds. Board Chair Doug Shearer says it is also looking at installing something special in all the high schools.
Shearer says every school in the district will be getting some upgrades to make the learning environment more comfortable and affordable.
He says the goal is to have most of the upgrades finished by August.
