MRCA Says Vehicles on Hiking Trails are a Safety Hazard

Motorized vehicles on city and conservation area trails are causing safety concerns.
The MattagamiĀ Region Conservation Authority and the City of Timmins say ATV’s, dirt bikes and snow machines are not allowed on MRCA parks or trails.Ā The MRCA say this is to ensure pedestrian safety.
There have been recent complaints of ATV’s being used on the trail between White Waterfront Park and Northern College.Ā The city, MRCA and Northern College are working together to make sure this trail remains vehicle free.
The City of Timmins says violators could face fines.
