Additional charges have been laid against Councillor Rick Dubeau.
The Timmins Police Service says on September 14th, Dubeau was arrested and charged with one count of corruption of a municipal office. This stems from allegations that Dubeau approached a business in Timmins and solicited a sales transaction that would benefit him personally in exchange for his help as a member of council back in August.
Police say upon further review, Dubeau has been additionally charged with breach of trust by a public officer.
Dubeau will appear in court on November 7th to answer to all charges.
