News Tom Laughren’s New Job SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Monday, Aug. 18th, 2014 Mayor Tom Laughren’s plans for the fall have been revealed. The Timmins Mayor announced earlier this summer he will not be running for re-election, and it is now known that he will be taking on a position at Lake Shore Gold. The mining company will have Laughren on as the Director of Corporate Responsibility, where he will oversee multiple mines L-S-G has in Timmins. The new job fits in to his background of teaching industrial safety, and 20 years of politics.
