The province has given Northern College a financial boost.
The school has received a $1.5-million investment as part of the Ontario College System’s 50th anniversary. President Fred Gibbons says this funding will play a vital role in providing innovative education in the community.
Gibbons says it’s important to continuously update the practical equipment for the students.
Gibbons says the some of this new equipment and classroom updates will be part of the new Integrated Emergency Services Complex at the Timmins campus.
Construction is expected to start later this spring.
