One of Timmins own has been chosen for the D.A.R.E. Youth Advisory Board.
Alexya Racicot has been picked as the first ever Canadian on board.Racicot says the Advisory Board is made up of D.A.R.E. Graduates across the U-S and discuss ways to prevent youth violence and drug abuse. She says D.A.R.E. lessons with Constable Rick Lemiex had a really big impact on her life and wants to share that with others.
Racicot will meet up with 50 other youth at two conferences. This year’s conferences are in Hawaii and Texas.
