Uncategorized Bisson easily wins riding SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, contributor, Friday, Jun. 13th, 2014 It was an easy win for Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson. The long-time New Democrat picked up nearly 12-thousand votes in Thursday’s provincial election. He easily outgunned Liberal candidate Sylvie Fontaine who had just under 5,600 votes and Tory Steve Black who went home with just more than 5,200 votes. Across Northern Ontario all the MPPs who held office before the election were back. The exception was Sudbury which was won by the NDP. The riding was up for grabs after Liberal Rick Bartolucci announced he would not be seeking re-election.
