News Crime Stoppers offers big reward in armed robbery SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, contributor, Thursday, Nov. 17th, 2016 Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,000 to put an armed robber behind bars after a convenience store was robbed in Timmins. The thief went into the Mac’s on Dwyer around 500am last Friday while the store clerk was working in the back. Timmins police constable Michelle Simard says as the clerk went up to the man, the robber pulled out a machete and demanded from the till. Instead, the employee barricaded himself at the back of the store until police arrived. Police searched the area but couldn’t find the robber.
