A 25-year-old Timmins man is facing charges of Arson with Disregard for Human Life. Those charges stem from a house fire on Cherry Street earlier this month. Police claim that blaze was set intentionally, while completely destroying the $170,000 home.

A family with young kids has been displaced because of the fire, however there were no major injuries. The accused had a bail hearing last week, however his case was not fully prepared. He will appear in court again today, and was kept in custody over the weekend.
