The North East LHIN is creating an expert housing panel to focus on supportive housing. They will look into services to help those suffering from mental illness and addiction, as well as the elderly and the homeless. The Local Health Integration Network decided this panel was necessary after getting the results back from a housing forum in the fall.
The panel will look at the best way to spend $100 million over the next three years, potentially helping up to 4,000 families.
