Finance Critic says unemployment rates in Ontario are going to get worse

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the unemployment numbers in Ontario are not good. He says although 38,000 part-time jobs were created, we lost 49,000 full-time positions. Fedeli says even the Wynne Liberals cut their forecast from 93,000 jobs to 78,000 for this year. And he says they have no one to blame but themselves. He says the government realized the programs they’re putting in place are going to cost Ontario 15,000 jobs this year, and we’ve already seen a loss of 11,000 in the first few months.

Fedeli says it’s going to get worse. He says this year’s budget has so many tax increases that people will have less spending power and when we spend less, it means lower profits for businesses which then layoff their employees.
