The public has to wait a while longer before Timmins City Hall puts a particular piece of property up for sale. The property is at 263 Wilson Avenue. As a result of a failure to pay back taxes, council wrote off the property as a tax loss at its last meeting. Even though the City doesn’t own the property, it can sell it under provisions of the Tax Arrears Sale Process. The request for tenders is expected to happen sometime during September at which time staff will post details on the City website and also advertise the sale.
