Recent vibration complaints were not from the Hollinger Open Pit according to Goldcorp Porcupine Gold Mines.
At about 10:10am on Friday people in the area complained about a vibration. Goldcorp says blastings at the Hollinger Open Pit only happen at city approved times with a warning sound before any scheduled blast. The Open Pit times are scheduled at 11:30am to 12:00pm year round and 3:30pm to 4:00pm March through October.
Goldcorp says it is committed to being transparent with the community.
