A new Police Chief is in Timmins.
A grade five student from W. Earle Miller Public School Jacob Goldstone has been sworn is as “mini” Police Chief for the day after winning a contest. Chief Goldstone says he is excited to run the police service for the day because he is considering a career in policing.

Communications Coordinator Kate Cantin says running the police for a day contest is a way to strengthen the relationship between officers and local youth.
