Project in Timmins gold district gets 1P1P designation from province

Ontario has added a fourth mining project to its “One Project, One Process” program. It’s the second one in what is known by the mines ministry as the Timmins gold district.

Mayfair Gold owns the Fenn-Gib property 17 km east of Matheson. It anticipates an initial life of 15 years with an open pit and on-site processing facility. Production is expected to begin in 2030.

“One Project, One Process” speeds up the permitting and development process… by cutting red tape.

Among the other three projects already covered by it is Canada Nickel’s Crawford project north of Timmins, off Hwy. 655.
