Police looking for two suspects in $30,000 jewellery heist

Check out the photos with this story. Timmins Police and Cochrane District Crime Stoppers say they’re of two suspects in a break-in to Cousineau Fine Jewelry in the 101 Mall.

It was just before 4:00am on Sunday, October 4th.

Crime Stoppers coordinator Brenda Beaven says they forced open Cousineau’s security gate and broke several glass cases getting out with watches, rings, earrings and necklaces.

“About $30,000 worth,” she notes, and that’s in addition to the damage they caused getting to that point.

“They caused about $9,000 damage in breaking into his place as well as breaking into the mall.”

“The forensics ident unit attended the scene as well,” Beaven adds, “and they were able to collect some forensics evidence pertaining to this and so we have some other evidence that would link two individuals to this crime.”

If you have any helpful information, contact Timmins Police or Crime Stoppers. Your Crime Stoppers call could earn you a reward of up to $2,000.00.
