Sparse details about latest drug bust

Very little is being released about the latest drug bust in Timmins due to a publication ban under the federal Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

What Timmins Police are saying is the investigation began last month, with the participation of the OPP. A search warrant executed on Tuesday resulted in five people being charged.

The lawyer for one of the accused asked for the ban.

If you have any information about drug trafficking, you can contact city police or do it anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
