A chance to prove that Timmins is ‘Canada’s Most Active Community’

Timmins could win $100,000 for recreation enhancements, by competing in Participaction’s “Canada’s Most Active Community” contest all next month.

City Hall’s community programs manager Meagan Baranyk says we’ve been grouped in to battle against some other northern communities.

“We’ve got Sudbury and Cochrane, North Bay and Hearst, Temiskaming Shores that are competing against us this year,” outlines Baranyk. “So we really want to pull out all the stops.”

All you need to do is sign up and report all of your physical activity in June, alone or in a group.

“My suggestion is just on Fridays, you’re going to look at your week and submit all your activities, and that’s taking place from June 1st to June 30th.”

It’s even easier than that, if you use the QR code above.
