Personal stories crucial to stop increases to senior drug plans

Seniors can expect a phone call from Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson tonight about changes to drug plans. Bisson is hosting a telephone town hall, to hear about how changes in the provincial budget will affect the bottom line of residents in Timmins.

In a video posted to social media, Bisson says once the budget is passed, seniors will have to pay double for prescriptions in many instances. He says it’s not too late to change that, but he needs to hear from seniors about what the changes will mean to their finances. Once he gets those testimonials, he can bring them to Queen’s Park and use them to lobby for a better system.

If your number is listed in the phone book, Bisson will call you around 6:45pm tonight. If you have an unlisted number and still want to take part, you can pre-register online, at Union Calling’s website.
