Today was the final day of the Downtown Timmins Urban Farmers Market for the year. It was Apple Fest.
So a bittersweet time for BIA executive director Cindy Campbell, because of one more outdoor event to come.
“Saturday is Fall Fest in Downtown Timmins,” she enthuses. “October 1st. Lots of children’s activities, live music from two to nine and all of it is free.”
Various genres will be heard until about 9:00pm, including Indigenous music from former Cochrane mayor Lawrence Martin.
“1992 Juno Award winner,” Campbell points out. “He’s going to play a set. We’re so excited to hear him.”
Martin will play at 4:00pm, along with Vern Cheechoo.
The family friendly events begin on Third Avenue at 11:00am.
