New Chamber president Tom Faught Jr. takes office, outlines priorities for 2024-25

A new president has taken the helm of the Timmins Chamber of Commerce for the next year.

Investment consultant Tom Faught Jr. takes the reins from Kraymr Grenke.

At the business organization’s annual general meeting, Faught told the membership that he will focus on three key areas during his term.  One is attracting new business and creating a dynamic environment for entrepreneurs. The second is community engagement.

“We will continue to strengthen our connections with local organizations, non-profits and our members to build a cohesive, inclusive and supportive community,” he said.

The third key area for Faught is sustainable growth, which he calls the path to a prosperous future.

“We must be mindful of our environmental impact, properly consult our partners, and promote practices that ensure long term sustainability,” the new president outlined. “By embracing innovation and leveraging technology, we can create a resilient economy that advances technology.”
