Pirie delivers almost $700,000 from Heritage Fund to local businesses, social venue

Timmins MPP George Pirie has delivered almost $700,000 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund to four local businesses and a social venue.

The largest single amount of almost $400,000 went to Northwind Transport. Pirie calls it an example of a local entrepreneur putting the money back into its business.

“This is $399,600 that helps the corporation out and it helps the city of Timmins, which is what this is all about,” he said, adding “These types of announcements are just really important to the whole community and very, very proud that we’ve got that amount of money coming back into the City of Timmins for enterprises as well as social venues.”
