Those old coins and bills you found way in the back of your sock drawer might be worth more than you think. You have a chance to find out this Sunday afternoon.
Timmins Coin Club publicity director Orest Lawryniw says the club will at the Timmins Public Library main between 1:30pm and 4:30pm to help you out.
“We’re encouraging people to come out with any coins or bank notes that they want to have looked a,” he explains. “We’ll also be having a small memorabilia display of Timmins items, as well as some information about the Timmins Coin.Club.”
Club members might also be interested in buying or trading for your currency.
“I encourage people to bring their coins and let me take a look at them and see if there’s any value before they take them to the bank or spend them” Lawryniw adds, ”because you never know, you might have that one gem that might be worth a few dollars.”
