A crime scene has been declared at a Mountjoy Street South apartment building… between First and Commercial Avenues… but police aren’t saying what the crime is.
Timmins Police communications coordinator Marc Depatie says the incident happened late yesterday afternoon.
“Investigators from the Timmins Police Service criminal investigation division have been deployed, along with members of its forensic identification unit,” he told My Timmins Now Dot Com.
Traffic was being restricted through the area Wednesday evening.
Depatie won’t confirm speculation that there was a shooting, or that someone was brought to hospital. More details are expected Thursday morning.
