UPDATE: The man was found this morning when the search resumed after breaking for the night. He was found by citizens who contacted police. He was taken into custody to ensure his wellbeing.
You’ll notice a lot of Timmins Police activity north of the Timmins and District Hospital this evening.
Communications coordinator Marc Depatie says they’re launching a ground search for a missing person in that area.
“Privacy issues limit the descriptors of the person currently being sought,” he adds. “Sightings of any suspicious or disoriented persons in this area should be reported to the Timmins Police Service without delay.”
An OPP dog will be in on the search. Depatie says there is no danger to the public.
