You’re being advised by Timmins Police not tot pick up any hitchhikers on Hwy. 655 north of Ross Ave., as they hunt for a fugitive in that area. Provincial police are maintaining a perimeter around the search area.
Timmins Police communications coordinator Marc Depatie says there is no threat to public safety, and all streets remain open.
It all began with a man running away from a traffic stop.
Police ask that you call 9-1-1 immediately if you spot anyone suspicious.
