The pandemic is ruling out a big gathering for the Terry Fox Run in Timmins again this year. But that’s not stopping organizer Cathy Davis and her crew.
The event is on Sunday, September 19th, and she says that crew will be collecting donations in the traditional place that day. All the money goes to the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.
“If people wanted to drop off donations – a cheque or cash in an envelope – we’re going to be there between eleven o’clock and one o’clock at Gillies Lake,” Davis advises.
“Or if you’d like to grab a friend or a family member and just walk around Gillies Lake, we’re going to be there.”
An alternative to cash or cheques is a QR code on posters and lawn signs that will bring you to the pledge site. More information is available on the Timmins Terry Fox Run Facebook page.
