Man charged with Pine St. S. burglary

Being apparently caught in the act of breaking into a downtown building results in a long list of charges against a Timmins man.

Police say an occupant of the Pine Street South building confronted the burglar Friday evening. He had used a crowbar to get in.

After a brief foot chase with police, the 34-year was arrested. The charges laid against him are as follows:

– Break and Enter with Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of Break-in Instruments contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Carry a Concealed Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Possession of a Prohibited Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– 5 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

– 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– 3 counts of Possession of Ammunition in Violation of a Prohibition Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– 3 counts of Possession of Prohibited Weapon in Violation of a Prohibition Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
