Police are resorting to social media, as they try to find the man who robbed the Circle K convenience store in Schumacher early this morning.
Timmins Police communications coordinator Marc Depatie says it was shortly before 5:00am when the armed man walked into the store. He had his jacket hood up, and his lower face covered by a scarf. Depatie says he demanded cash and cigarettes, and got away with both.

“Rather distinctive article of clothing being worn by the subject at the time,” remarks Depatie, “so if that spurs anybody’s memory or causes someone to give us an idea as to who we’re looking for, we’d appreciate that information.”
Part of Schumacher was contained for a time, as an OPP dog was brought in to sniff around the neighbourhood for any clues.
“This is an isolated incident,” Depatie reassures Schumacher residents. “There is no continued threat to public safety at this time.”
