The only grocery store in Timmins east of Algonquin Boulevard and Highway 655 is closing.
A sign posted Thursday at Porcupine Mall says the Metro store there will close next month.
Local management is not allowed to comment. My Timmins Now Dot Com has reached out to head office in Montreal.
There is another Metro store in Timmins… on Algonquin at Preston Street.
