My Timmins Now Dot Com has confirmed that former mayor Tom Laughren is to be named the new Timmins fire chief and community emergency coordinator
The former mayor’s name is the only one listed in bylaws to confirm his appointment going to tomorrow night’s regular council meeting.
A long time member of the Whitney volunteer fire brigade… he was the city councillor for the far east end of the city from 1994 to 2003… then mayor from 2006 to 2014.
