It could be very quiet inside high schools in Timmins early this afternoon… but not so much outside.
Students are expected to walk out for a few minutes beginning at 1:15, as part of a province-wide demonstration against the Ford government’s planned changes and funding cuts to education.
Timmins Police have issued gentle reminders to the students and to any drivers who might be near the schools at that time.
To drivers, they’re urging extra caution and slower speeds near the schools.
And to the students, they’re urging an orderly demonstration, so that they don’t have to move in and take action of their own.
