You can meet the municipal candidates and hear a debate Thursday evening.
The Timmins Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a meet the candidates’ event and mayoral debate. President Nancy Mageau says you and the business community have the chance to ask the people running for mayor all your questions before you hit the ballot boxes. “This is a great opportunity for the community to get out there and listen to what the candidates have to bring to the table. That way they can make their informed decision.”
Mageau says the event will start with all the councillor candidates set up to meet the public. She says then it will lead into a moderated debate for the people running for mayor. Mageau says the business community has been submitting questions for the candidates on different business issues. “The general public can also have the option to have their questions brought to the debate.”
The event will start at 6:00pm at O’Gorman High School. If you can’t make it to the event, the debate will be streamed on MyTimminsNow.com.
