Timmins new Fire Chief is settling into the new job.
Normand Beauchamp is taking over for retiring Chief Mike Pintar. Beauchamp says his first week of work has been getting to know the department.
He says he will soon be taking over full responsibility of the Timmins Department.
Beauchamp comes to Timmins with over 19 years of experience working in fire halls.
Pintar says despite Beauchamp being a Montreal Canadiens fan and not an Oilers fan, he has a good background and lots of experience which will make him a great fit here in Timmins.
