Music was a key part of the conversation at the Timmins Chamber of Commerce AGM.
The President and CEO of Music Canada made a presentation to board members and local businesses last night on the possibility of Timmins becoming a “Music City”. Graham Henderson says becoming a hub for music is not only great culturally, but is also an economic driver.
Henderson says Timmins is on its way to becoming a music city, because of recent events like Stars and Thunder, but the city needs to come up with a plan.
Henderson says becoming a music hub is a task that needs a leader. He adds that Mayor Steve Black is already showing that sort of initiative.
Below are some slides from the presentation.
