There’s some good news for Gogama. The federal government is giving the town nearly $5,800 to upgrade its monitoring equipment at the water distribution building. That’s half the cost to carry out the work. The province and municipality will split the balance of the cost 50-50. Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre made the announcement. In addition, Serre also gave Gogama almost $9,100 under the Gas Tax Fund to be used on infrastructure projects.
