A traffic stop in Cochrane has resulted in drug related charges against a Cochrane man. When OPP officers stopped the vehicle, the discovered not only was it not insured, they also found the registration hadn’t been renewed. Shortly after that police found a variety of drugs in the vehicle. Officers seized ecstasy and meth tablets, cannabis resin and cannabis marijuana worth about $2,700. They also found nearly $2,800 on the driver. The man, who is 32, faces several possession and drug trafficking charges as well as having no insurance or a valid permit for the vehicle.
