Northern College is taking part in a province-wide competition. To help mark the 50th anniversary celebrations of the college system in Ontario a competition called the William G. Davis Innovation Fund contest is happening. It’s named after the former premier and education minister who brought the college system to the province.
President of Northern College Fred Gibbons says students and alumni can pitch creative projects and initiatives aimed at improving Ontario. The first place winner gets $15,000 and the second place winner will receive $5,000.
Applications can be submitted online starting March 1st and the winners will be announced in November.
