Road to the Ring of Fire could cost as much as $559M

Depending on the type, an all-season road to the Ring of Fire could cost as little as $264 million. However, if it’s paved and depending the route it follows, the road could take as much as $559 million to lay down. The Globe and Mail got a copy of the 147-page study which was paid for by the provincial and federal governments.

The report, which was conducted by four First Nations in the Ring of Fire zone, was completed at the end of June but wasn’t made public. The Globe secured a copy and released the road costs.
