Blood drive is back in Timmins tomorrow and donors are desperately needed

The blood drive is back in Timmins tomorrow, and it’s continuing to under-perform. Territory Manager for the Canadian Blood Services, Joanne Drake, is asking Timmins to consider donating blood so they can reach their target numbers.

The donor levels are being threatened even further as there are new regulations to respond to the Zika Virus. Drake says every time they come to Timmins, they fall short by about 27 units.

The clinic is running tomorrow from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Thursday from 12:00pm to 2:30pm and then again from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can go online to the Canadian Blood Services website or call 1-888-2-DONATE to book an appointment.
