Cochrane-Temiskaming Children’s Treatment Centre has unionized

Workers at the Cochrane Temiskaming Children’s Treatment Centre have unionized. The employees chose the Ontario Public Service Employees Union to represent them in talks. The bargaining unit includes social workers, physiotherapists and occupational therapist assistants.

The workers service about 10 communities in the northeast including Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Matheson and Moosonee. No date to start talks for a first contract has been announced.
