Snowarama in support of Easter Seals this weekend

The 42nd annual Snowarama is happening in Timmins this weekend. Cedar Meadows is hosting the annual snowmobile run, in support of the Easter Seals. Regional Coordinator, Carmen Bazinet, says the money raised goes toward much needed equipment for kids with physical disabilites. She says as children grow with their disabilities, they need more and more equipment. Things like wheelchairs, walkers, communication aids, and van modifications. Bazinet says it can cost up to $40,000 a year to support a child with a disability.

The ride starts at Cedar Meadows, goes into South Porcupine, and then head back to the lodge for lunch and prizes. The fundraising goal for Timmins is $15,000. It’s all happening on Sunday, starting at 9:30am. You can still sign up on the Snowarama website or just show up at Cedar Meadows on Sunday morning.
