The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities will have delegates from across the north in town to hear keynote speakers and take part in training sessions. Mayor Steve Black says there is also going be a trade show for northern businesses to market their product, which he says is a great opportunity because it’s unusual to have all of northern Ontario municipal leaders in one location. He says the provincial government will also send up a group of Ministers who will take part in the event, and have a question and answer session with the delegates. There is no word yet on if Premier Kathleen Wynne will be attending the conference, but Black does say she has gone to many in the past. The FONOM conference will be in early May at the Mac.
